I Did not locate marker for him in Pegues-Stephenson Cemetery - there are unmarked graves there I am sure. Marker for Mary W. Greening Guy, Pegues-as follows:

NOTE: LARGE ENCLOSED TOMB, WHICH HAS BEEN BROKEN ON ONE SIDE. 
(Dr Pegues was the 4th person buried in this Cemetery, according to markers)  The very ornate gate to this cemetery also bears his name. Dr. Wm. Allen Pegues was son of Claudius M. Pegues & #1 wife Harriett Chapman (Dtr of Allen Chapman & Rachael Powe) . He was named in his grand father's will in 1821. His father,  Claudius M. Pegues (M)#2- Eliza Pledger, Dec 24, 1822, Wilcox Co, Ala.

Dr William Allen Pegues has no descendants, as his only child who reached adulthood, Harriet "hattie" married J L McClanahan and had 3 children, none of whom reached adulthood, & who were all deceased as of 1900 census-sgs
