William G. Ray was the son of William G. Ray, Sr, & wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" Langston.
He was born Jan. 29, 1802*  in Georgia, and died in  Jan. 7, 1886, Cass Co., Texas. He is buried in the Corinth Cemetery.
One of his desc. , Kelley Hunt, states his birthdate as Feb 2, 1801

He (M) Nancy Young, Feb. 25, 1824 Henry Co., Georgia. She was born CA 1802  South Carolina,  and died 1881 Cass Co., Texas. She is also buried in Corinth Cemetery.

William G. Ray was Co-Adm. of his father's Estate, Butts Co, Georgia, along with Bro. Coleman L.  Ray. He was  Justice of the Peace, 1841 Troup Co, Ga.   He was also Adm. of Est. of his brother in law Daniel H. Ellis, 1848, 1849, 1850 Troup Co, Ga; (Farmer, 1850 Randolph Co., Ala; Farmer, 1860 Tuscaloosa Co., Ala, 1870 Davis Co., Tx; 1880 Cass Co., Tx
